Wieland Electric’s successful wipos P1 power supply series for industrial applications now provides output voltages of 12 and 48 V DC in addition to 24 V DC. Among other things, these new supply voltages are useful for drive technology applications.

The 24 V version of the robust single-phase AC/DC converters is now available for 1.25, 2.5, 3.8, 5, 10 and 20 A, the 12 V version for 5 and 10 A, and the 48 V version for 5 A. The switching power supplies for DIN rail mounting inside the control cabinet are mainly used in mechanical engineering and in the process technology. The reliable power supply units work in the temperature range between -25 and 71 C and are suitable for worldwide use thanks to their automatic and wide-input voltage range. For the trade press SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2010 November, 23– 25, 2010 Key word: Power supply series wipos P1 for 12, 24, and 48 V DC

The power supply units focus on essential features such as: Full output at application temperatures of up to 60°C, PFC technology, a long hold-up time of> 30 ms, adjustable output voltage, active monitoring with switching output and LED diagnosis for simple startup. The power supply units can be connected in series or, from 5 A upwards, in parallel for increased performance and redundancy. They are connected via sufficiently dimensioned screw terminals. The devices are continuous short-circuit proof and provide overtemperature protection. Their high reliability and attractive price-performance ratio is a compelling advantage. Approvals according to CE and UL (cULus) available.
